Calotti®

Original vs. copy

Our Calotti® rotating spatula is currently being copied on a massive scale. Here's how to recognise the original.

Originals available here

Our product comes from Germany. You can only get the original Calotti® rotating spatula from these authorised sellers – for example via the links in our product overview:

  • Calotti®
  • Amazon
  • Wundermix.de – and all shops operated by Wundermix
  • staubsaugerwelt24.de
  • foodwithlove.shop
  • eBay: the sellers “cleaningworld24” and “Wundermix”

Patented quality

The Calotti® rotating spatula is protected by the following intellectual property rights. The owner is Johannes Wunderle.

  • European patent EP 3 691 503 B1
  • Registered EU design No. 006639191-0001

How can I recognise a counterfeit product?

At first glance, product images show no difference from the original, as these have mostly been copied and modified without permission and, for example, the Calotti® logo has been removed with Photoshop. Signs of a suspected counterfeit product:

  • The counterfeit product usually has no inscription (neither the Calotti® logo nor “made in Germany”).
  • The counterfeit product is made of very inferior plastic, and the surface has a cheap shine.
  • The product weighs less than 60 grams.
  • It comes with a description on which both “made in China” and “made in Germany” are printed.

Any rotating spatula that does not bear the Calotti® logo is a counterfeit product.

Risk to your health

The counterfeit product is of particularly poor quality. The material used does not meet the requirements for food contact in any respect and may, in particular, contain harmful substances that can also be transferred to food.

How we know

The original Calotti® rotating spatula is produced exclusively in Germany from food contact material and is distributed exclusively from Germany. Food contact means in this case: the material is approved for contact with food and has been tested by German institutes according to strict standards. We are proud of being 100% Made in Germany, from the material right through to the packaging. This allows us to monitor the entire production process and to check the quality of every single Calotti® rotating spatula.
